Greetings, my fine feathered friend!
Here is the next project on my drawing board.  Yes, it is another big cat! :)  And yes, it will be done in colored pencil.  I'm just full of surprises today! :)

Snow leopard finished

Greetings, my fine feathered friend!
I got to spend most of my day at the drawing board, so I finally finished the snow leopard! :)  This week I'm going to look into the possibility of getting prints made.  And yes, I already have another colored pencil project on my drawing board! :)
Until next time: Happy Flying!

Progress on Snow Leopard

Greetings, my fine feathered friend!
At last, the snow leopard has a complete face! :)  I spent a lot of time on the right ear, trying to get the folds just right.  When making a realistic animal drawing, it is vital that you get the anatomy right.  Before you even begin a drawing, make sure you study your subject.  I have never had the opportunity of seeing a snow leopard in real life (yet!) but I have poured over dozens of photographs and watched countless videos of this feline.  My research has also given me a deeper appreciation for these wonderful creatures.
So take the time to really see all the beauty that is around you :)

Snow leopard is back!

Greetings, my fine feathered friend!
Yesterday afternoon I finally got the chance to work on my snow leopard! :)  I tried a new technique with the whiskers: white acrylic paint.  I'm going to have to go over them again with a little color so they appear more natural.
Alas, I have come down with a nasty cold :p so progress on this piece will be a little slow.  When it is finished, I plan on getting prints made.  I've never had prints made of my work before, so I'd appreciate any advice you can give me!
Until next time: Happy Flying!
